Jessica Lasky pursued her legal career with a passion for advocating for victims' rights, a commitment she developed early in her academic journey. After graduating from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, she went on to attain her Juris Doctorate degree from Villanova University School of Law in 2002. During her time at Villanova, Jessica's dedication to aiding vulnerable populations shone through her work as a domestic violence victim advocate, where she successfully secured asylum for a 17-year-old refugee from Azerbaijan, earning her an award for excellence in Trial Advocacy.
A Career Defined by Commitment: Upon relocating to Colorado, Jessica embarked on a career as a Deputy District Attorney in the Boulder County DA’s Office, specializing in Domestic Violence and Elder Abuse cases. Her commitment to these areas of law led her to spearhead the Boulder County Domestic Violence Task Force and co-create the Elder Abuse Task Force. With training from Homeland Security and attendance at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, Jessica honed her skills as a litigator, handling thousands of criminal cases and over one hundred trials.
Transition to Family Law: Passionate about safeguarding families and creating a safe environment for children, Jessica transitioned into family law while maintaining her focus on criminal matters and protection order cases. Recognized as a strong and tenacious advocate, she approaches dissolutions and post-decree matters with dedication and expertise.
Beyond the Courtroom: Outside of her legal endeavors, Jessica is an avid sports fan, supporting teams like the Buffs, Broncos, and the NY Jets. She also indulges her passion for photography and nature, often accompanied by her three dogs.
