Academic Achievements: Heidi earned her Juris Doctorate from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law (now Texas A&M), where she ranked in the top 12% of her class and consistently made the Dean’s List. She holds a B.S.B.A. in Accounting and Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona, further enhancing her strategic and financial insight in legal matters.
Master of Family Law: Admitted to practice law in Colorado, Texas, and Wyoming, and before the U.S. Supreme Court, Heidi is a certified mediator and holds an AVVO Excellent Rated Attorney distinction. She practices a wide range of family law areas, including prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, divorce, high net worth divorce, child custody, modifications, guardianship, conservatorship, property division, spousal maintenance, estate planning, orders of protection, and mediation.
Heidi entered family law with a commitment to paying it forward, offering compassionate, strategic representation to help others navigate their own challenging periods and position them to thrive with their new family structure.
Past Experience: Before joining Johnson Law Group, Heidi’s general civil litigation practice focused on domestic relations/child support and custody, business litigation, and consumer litigation. She has a proven track record of securing favorable outcomes for her clients, including establishing defined visitation schedules for grandparents and negotiating advantageous pre-trial settlements in business and consumer disputes. Additionally, she has tried over twenty-one cases to bench and jury verdicts as the first chair, often surpassing expected results.
Community Leadership and Service: Dedicated to both professional excellence and community service, Heidi continues to be a formidable advocate for her clients and a respected leader in the legal community. She has served as President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary of the Larimer County Bar Association, and as President of the Larimer County Women’s Bar Association. Heidi has also been a board member for Denton County Friends of the Family, CLE Chairperson for the Denton County Bench Bar, and President and Vice President of the Flower Mound Bar Association.
